Use small pieces on the tips of gloves or in any soft circuit situation where you need a bit of stretch. This highly conductive fabric has a resistance of less than 1 ohm per foot in any direction across the textile. In particular, sulphur, high fluoride, and low pH will react strongly with silver and destroy conductivity and shielding performance.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTest your tap water on a small swatch before washing:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003col\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eSoak a small fabric swatch in tap water for 1 hour.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eLook for colour change in the water or swatch, especially blackening.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eAir dry the swatch and check for conductivity (touch an ohm meter to 2 points on the fabric).\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ol\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf colour change or loss of conductivity occurs, do NOT use tap water — use distilled, deionized, or reverse osmosis water instead. Washing will eventually degrade the silver coating and shielding performance.
