E-Paper To-Do List Video Kit — Everything Used in the Build
Couldn't load pickup availability
Build the e-paper to-do list from the video — everything in one box. A WiFi-connected task list on a paper-like display: update it from your phone anywhere in the house, then switch the whole thing off — e-paper keeps displaying your list with zero power. Ticked something off while out and about? It updates in seconds.
What's in the kit
- 1 × ESP32-C3 SuperMini development board (USB-C, WiFi + Bluetooth) — board colour may vary: black or pink, identical spec
- 1 × WeAct 2.13" tri-colour e-paper module (black / white / red)
- 1 × Half-size solderless breadboard (400 tie points)
- 1 × Soft silicone hookup wire sampler, 24AWG (4 colours, 1m)
Bought separately: $40.64 — as a kit: save ~14%!
What you'll build
- A to-do list device that serves its own web page — add and tick off tasks from your phone
- Tri-colour e-paper display that holds your list even with the power off
- A tiny, low-power build that's a perfect first step into e-paper projects
⚡ Wiring tip (read this — it'll save you a headache): Use the exact pin mapping from the GitHub code, not your own choice of pins. A few pins on the ESP32-C3 (GPIO2, 8, and 9) are "strapping pins" the chip checks at power-on — connecting the display's BUSY line to one of these can stop the board booting or flashing. It's not broken; it's just picky. The code's pinout avoids all of this.
You'll also need
- A USB-C data cable for programming — our USB-C Data Cable (1m) works perfectly
- A computer with PlatformIO (VS Code) or Arduino IDE
- Note: pin headers may require soldering depending on the modules supplied
All code is free on GitHub, linked in the video description. For the Brass to do wrist: https://github.com/cmoz/YouTube/tree/main/BrassToDoWrist
