A tiny 8 × 10 × 3 mm breakout board with an addressable WS2812B RGB LED — sold in a 5-pack. Works the same way as our other addressable pixels, but you can choose exactly how many you use and where you place them.
In the photos I’ve soldered white silicone wire to one and a pin header to another — a useful idea if you want a single pixel for a project or for testing code. These come with no soldered pins or wires. I used 24 AWG silicone wire, but you might want to go smaller!
The WS2812B has a constant-current driver built right into the LED package. Pixels are chainable — you only need 1 data pin/wire to control as many as you like. Full 24-bit colour with PWM handled by the controller chip.
