Build a real project with me, live on Zoom, in a small group where everyone gets help. Each workshop follows one of my video kits, so you can keep going after the session with the video and the code.
A live, beginner-friendly build-along with me, Christine (CMozMaker), on Zoom. We'll wire up an OLED screen to an ESP32, make it display text and graphics, then connect it to WiFi so you can type...
Wire up a strip of WS2812B LEDs, write your own colour patterns and add a button to switch modes. Beginner friendly, no sewing.
Just in time for Valentine's: turn a conductive fabric heart into a touch sensor that fades LEDs on. No soldering, and a lovely first e-textile project. Kit details coming soon.
A laptop or desktop, a USB-C data cable, and the parts listed on the workshop page. You can bring your own parts or add the workshop kit when you book. A phone helps as a second camera so I can see your wiring.
Yes. Every workshop starts from an empty project, and there's a short setup clinic before the session to get your software working.
Each workshop page lists its kit deadline. Kits ship the next business day from Nova Scotia; international orders need about a week longer than Canada and the US.
Sessions run with 5 or more people. If yours doesn't, I'll let you know two weeks before, and you can switch to the other session or get a full ticket refund. Your kit is yours to keep, or you can return it within 30 days.
Workshops are taught in English. You can ask questions out loud or in the chat.
Yes. Add a note at checkout with the person's name and email and I'll send the joining details to them.
Yes, online anywhere or in person in Nova Scotia. See Teachers & Makerspaces.
