Kit Facts

  • Difficulty: Level 1 — Plug & Play
  • Soldering: None — both LED modules and your board arrive hand-assembled and breadboard-ready
  • Sewing: None
  • You'll need: a USB-C data cable and a computer

Make it pink

  • Classic Black — the standard 30-pin USB-C ESP32, headers pre-soldered.
  • Pink (limited) — a limited-run pink ESP32 with gold detailing, built on the newer WROOM-32E module, headers hand-soldered by us just for this kit. When they're gone, they're gone.

What's in the kit

  • ESP32 Development Board, 30-pin (USB-C) — classic black or limited pink
  • Neo Tester — our 8-LED WS2812B strip, hand-soldered, heat-shrink protected, and tested in Nova Scotia
  • 8-Bit WS2812 RGB LED Ring — with header pins soldered by us, a kit exclusive (the ring ships bare when bought on its own)
  • Half-size solderless breadboard (400 tie points)
  • Hook-up wires for the circuit

Good to know

  • Breadboard colour may vary: white or clear — both work identically.
  • You'll need a USB-C data cable to program the ESP32. Many USB-C cables are charge-only and will not work — if you're not sure, grab our USB-C data cable.
