Details
It's a popular, budget-friendly alternative to the BME280. Because pressure changes with height, the BMP280 can also estimate altitude — enough to tell which floor you're on or when you're climbing a hill.
Specifications
- Sensors: AHT20 + Bosch BMP280
- Temperature: −40 to +85 °C (AHT20 ±0.3 °C)
- Humidity: 0–100% RH (±2%)
- Pressure: 300–1100 hPa (±1 hPa)
- Interface: I2C — AHT20 at 0x38, BMP280 at 0x77 (some boards 0x76)
- Supply voltage: 3.3V recommended

Project Ideas
A hiking jacket that logs altitude and weather, a hat that changes colour ahead of a storm, comfort sensing in performance wear, or a classroom weather station.
Good to know
If your code can't find the BMP280, run an I2C scanner. Depending on the board it will be at 0x76 or 0x77.
Pair It With
Great with the Adafruit ESP32-C3 QT Py, Adafruit ESP32-S2 QT Py or Beetle ESP32 [Sewable]. Show live readings on the 1.28" round TFT display. If you'd rather not solder, try the SHT40 Qwiic board or the Adafruit AHT20.
In the box
